QWas it easy or hard to start MTC?

AI had wanted to start a business ever since I graduated from college, but it took me about 12 years to quit my job.

QWith hindsight, home runs like MTC look obvious. But at the time you tested the waters,              right?

AInitially I started some small-scale businesses on the side while keeping a full-time job. I did not have much success in those ventures because every time I encountered major roadblocks I quit that business and refocused on my full-time job. The commitment level dramatically increases when you know you don't have any belt and suspenders.

QIt was a question of commitment.

AI was committed at two different places. Start-ups require a lot of energy and commitment and that's very difficult to provide on a part-time basis.
