Described by many as a true American success story, Raj Soin’s business acumen, passion for excellence and plain hard work have led him to become one of the leading businessmen in the state of Ohio.

Raj started his business career in 1971 with Firestone Tire and Rubber Company as an Industrial Engineer and worked at various production facilities until 1978.  In that year Raj joined Williams International as Manager of Corporate Systems.

In 1984, Raj and Indu, his wife, started Modern Technologies Corporation (MTC), a provider of engineering, management and technical services.  In June 2002, MTC Technologies, Inc. had an initial public offering and is listed on the NASDAQ under the symbol MTCT.  Under Raj’s leadership MTC grew to approximately $500M in revenue before being acquired by a large multi-national corporation.

Raj Soin currently owns a number of privately held businesses under the holding company Soin International.  These companies, located worldwide, include offerings of services, manufacturing, retail goods, private equity investments, and real estate development.  The attachment has a list of companies owned by Soin International.

Raj has a strong belief in giving back to his community.  In August 2000, the business college at Wright State University was renamed to Raj Soin College of Business in honor of his accomplishments and support of the University.  Raj is also the sole contributor for the Sukh Dev Raj Soin Hospital which is being built in India in memory of his father, the Soin Medical Center located in Beavercreek, Ohio and Soin Pediatric Emergency & Trauma Center in Dayton, Ohio.

In 2005, Raj Soin was the recipient of Wright State University’s Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters Degree.  Also in 2005, Raj was the recipient of the Delhi College of Engineering Distinguished Alumnus award.  Bradley University Alumni Association bestowed the 2004 Distinguished Alumnus award to Raj Soin. Raj is the 2003 recipient of the Ellis Island Medals of Honor Award for his exceptional leadership and humanitarian work, a distinction he shares with notables such as Jimmy Carter, Colin Powell, and Henry Kissinger.

In 2010, Raj was awarded a doctorate (doctor of humane letters degree) from Bradley University.

An active philanthropist, Raj Soin also gives generously of his time.  He has served on the boards of numerous organizations in Dayton and the State of Ohio.  Raj is routinely tapped by state and national government officials for his business vision and expertise.

Raj and his wife, Indu, live in Longboat Key, Florida.  He enjoys playing golf, flying airplanes and family vacations.
