QYou have a classic background for a tech company founder - a degree in computer science. Did you immediately start a company upon graduation?

A My entrepreneurial career started right after I finished at Northwestern University. I'd always been interested in business and starting my own company.

QHow did you know what you wanted to do?

A I met someone at Northwestern and we decided that we would find the next great idea in computer science and start implementing it.

QWhat did you find?

A The idea happened to be a geographic information system - a mapping system. We were really fascinated by the idea of putting two addresses into a computer and getting directions from one address to the other address.
